Insert the hook into the stitches visible in the middle of the oval and pass it to the other end to make a slip stitch with the long yarn tail that we left before starting the foundation chain.

HEIGHT

Make 1 chain, then crochet 46 single crochet stitches (sc), but insert the hook into the back of the fabric where you can see the bars.

The following rounds will be crocheted normally, grabbing both loops that are formed in each stitch.

A total of 16 rounds.

Finish the last round with a slip stitch.

FLAP

Ch: 18

Make 1 chain, then crochet 16 rows of 18 single crochet stitches (sc).

At the end of row 16, make 1 chain and crochet single crochet stitches (sc) all around until you reach the corner.

Position the flap on the structure of the bag and sew it in place using slip stitches until you reach the corner, then continue making slip stitches until the end of the flap.

Short handle

Ch: 20

Skip 1 stitch, and in the next stitch, crochet a single crochet (sc).

Crochet 4 rows.

Fold in half and crochet single crochet stitches (sc).

You can sew this short handle to the flap or use rings to position it.

Long crocheted handle

Ch: 3

  • We will crochet as follows: insert the hook into the second stitch, and without closing it, insert the hook into the third stitch. Now, close the stitch completely.

  • Then, we will insert the hook into the longer strand that slides more easily and repeat the same procedure: insert the hook into the second stitch, and without closing it, insert the hook into the third stitch. Now, close the stitch completely.

  • You will repeat this until you reach a length of 1.50 meters.

  • And you have two options to attach it to the mini-bag

1: Sew it

2: Attach rings and hooks

Long handle with chain + t-shirt yarn

Cut a chain of 1.40 meters, and with a long strand of t-shirt yarn, thread it through the chain from side to side.

Once it’s ready, attach the chain to the rings placed on each side of the mini-bag.

Tassel

With a 20 cm long cardboard, wrap the t-shirt yarn as many times as you want. Once you have the desired volume for your tassel, cut the yarn.

Take a long strip of t-shirt yarn, insert it through the yarn, and tie a knot at the bottom (then remove the yarn from the cardboard).

Leaving a space of 2 fingers, now wrap the t-shirt yarn around, then secure it with a knot and hide the ends between the other yarn strands.

Finally, cut all the ends so that they are level.
